Queer Eyes for AI @ HOST Queer Bar
Trust & Build with AI for Queer Good
AI is everywhere now — but for many of us, it still feels confusing, intimidating, overhyped, or simply not made with people like us in mind.
Queer Eyes for AI is a casual, community-first session for queers and allies who want to understand AI better, trust it more thoughtfully, and explore what it means to build with it.
No technical background required. You do not need to code. You do not need to work in tech. You just need to be curious.
This is not a typical AI event. It is a sharing session, fireside chat, Q&A, and networking night hosted in a queer bar, bringing together queer builders, AI enthusiasts, AI-curious folks, creatives, founders, and allies.
Who this is for
This event is for you if:
You are queer or an ally and curious about AI.
You want to use AI but are unsure what to trust.
You have an idea, project, creative practice, business, community initiative, or side hustle and want to know how AI might help.
You are interested in what queer builders are making with AI.
You want to meet other AI-curious people in a more relaxed, social, less intimidating space.
No technical background is required.
What we’ll talk about
We’ll keep the session accessible, practical, and human.
Together, we’ll explore:
Why and how you can trust AI
What does “trusting AI” actually mean? How do we use AI without falling for hype, misinformation, or lazy automation? What queer builders are building with AI
From community tools to creative products, we’ll look at how queer people are using AI to build things that are personal, useful, strange, joyful, and necessary. How queer builders juggle identity, work, creativity, and risk
How do we build publicly when our identities are complicated? How do we navigate visibility, safety, ambition, and community responsibility? How to start building, even if you’re not technical
AI has made it easier to prototype ideas, test concepts, and create tools without needing to be a traditional engineer.
