Session 3 of I AM THE STORY is a hands-on production workshop with Hady Amin — community member and videographer, 50+ ALX community events shot. No professional camera, no crew, no budget. Just the phone already in your pocket.
What we'll cover
The gear you actually need (it's the phone)
Framing and composition — angles, distance, rule of thirds, for self-shooting
Natural lighting, using what's already in the room
Sound basics: mic placement, cutting background noise
The 3-second hook that stops the scroll
Filming yourself solo, without a tripod
What you'll leave with An actual piece of content, filmed and edited by you. Every attendee shoots a 15-second self-introduction during the session — and it qualifies as an official #IAmTheStory_ALX submission.
Bring A charged phone with free storage, headphones if you have them, and something you'd be happy to see yourself wearing on camera.
