Join Victorian Ombudsman Marlo Baragwanath for April’s Business Club Lunch to explore the role of one of state’s key “watchdogs” in the era of the big build, bikie gangs and institutional pressures.
Marlo has a unique perspective on corruption fighting in Victoria. Before her appointment to a 10-year term as Victorian Ombudsman in 2024, Marlo was the Chief Executive Officer of the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission (IBAC) and before that was the Victorian Government Solicitor. Marlo initially worked in private legal practice. She started her public sector career at the Ombudsman’s office and went on to hold senior leadership roles at WorkSafe and the Victorian Building Authority.
Marlo is open to any and all questions from the Celtic Club & Wild Geese audience post-lunch in the upstairs Members Bar.
