On 21 May 2026, Dutch Edtech is hosting a session for founders and management teams of EdTech companies active in primary and secondary education who are exploring or preparing for international expansion.
During this session you will hear directly from experienced founders, experts and market insiders who have successfully worked with institutions across Europe. They will share practical insights on how different countries and schools evaluate EdTech, how market expansion actually works in practice and what founders should expect when entering new markets.

Thomas Van Cauwenberghe is the Station Chief of edtechstation, the hub for digital transformation and B2B innovation companies with educational and learning technologies. Based in Belgium, Thomas brings strong insights into how the Belgian education market evaluates and adopts digital solutions. He works closely with startups, policymakers, and schools, offering a practical perspective on navigating market entry and growth in Belgium and beyond.
Gert-Jan de Vlugt
Gert-Jan de Vlugt is a seasoned EdTech entrepreneur, investor, and advisor, with broad experience across the European education landscape. As an independent expert, he supports founders in validating their products, refining their go-to-market strategies, and scaling sustainably. Gert-Jan brings a cross-market perspective on what drives successful EdTech adoption and growth.
Rutger Peters
Rutger Peters is the co-founder and CEO of Gynzy, a leading Dutch EdTech company in primary education. From its base in the Netherlands, Gynzy has successfully expanded into international markets. Rutger will share firsthand insights into scaling an EdTech company abroad, including lessons on localization, curriculum alignment, and working with schools across different systems.
Tobias Himmerich
Tobias Himmerich is the founder and managing director of Eduvation, the largest service provider for EdTech companies in Germany. Since 2017, Eduvation has supported hundreds of EdTech startups and established companies with end-to-end services across go-to-market, localisation, research and operations in the German education sector.
