About Event

You’ve heard it before: “Just get back out there!”

Or maybe the opposite: “You should take more time before dating again.”

After a painful breakup or divorce, dating can feel confusing, anxiety-ridden, or downright exhausting. You want a genuine connection but feel unsure whether you’re truly ready, afraid of repeating old patterns, or overwhelmed by modern dating culture and apps.

This workshop will help you move beyond overwhelm, confusion, and self-doubt and toward a grounded, intentional way of dating that honors both your healing and your desire for connection.

Led by Emily Daily, LPC Associate, supervised by Charisse Ferrer, LPC-S, a trauma therapist who supports individuals navigating heartbreak, betrayal, and trauma recovery, this workshop offers step-by-step guidance for how to know when you’re truly ready, how to avoid common pitfalls when you start dating, and what will create a foundation for healthier and better-aligned relationships.

A live Q&A will follow the workshop to create space for your specific questions, reflections, and concerns, and to connect with others navigating similar experiences.

Whether you’re feeling cautiously curious or deeply unsure, you’re welcome here.

Here’s what we’ll cover:

🚦Emotional Readiness + Regaining Self-Trust:

  • How to tell if you’re truly ready to date again, and signs you may need more healing first

  • Understanding loneliness triggers, attachment patterns, and the difference between dating for connection versus distraction

❤️ Healthy Foundations for Your Next Relationship

  • Clarifying your values, needs, boundaries, and deal-breakers after heartbreak

  • How to avoid repeating old relationship patterns

  • Green flags and red flags to notice early in dating

📲 Navigating Online Dating with Emotional Safety

  • How to approach dating apps in a way that protects your mental health

  • Pacing connections, managing expectations, and choosing emotionally safe people

You’ll also be guided through a short journaling and reflection prompt to help you reconnect with what you’re truly seeking and what patterns you’re ready to leave behind.

Meet the Facilitator: Emily Daily, LPC-A

Breakup Recovery Specialist, Trauma Therapist, and Advocate for At-Your-Pace Dating

Emily Daily is a Houston-based, trauma-informed therapist who supports individuals navigating heartbreak, attachment wounds, and painful relational patterns.

Emily works with clients who want to move forward after heartbreak but don’t yet trust themselves or feel emotionally ready. She understands firsthand the grief, confusion, and fear that can arise during this time and is deeply passionate about helping people rebuild self-trust, clarity, and confidence in love again.

She believes everyone dating after a breakup deserves guidance that is compassionate, trauma-informed, and grounded, rather than wading through superficial dating-advice culture.

In this workshop, you can expect a calm, validating, and nonjudgmental space that prioritizes emotional safety, self-understanding, and go-at-your-own-pace healing.

Who this workshop is for:

  • You have recently experienced a breakup, separation, or divorce, and are considering dating again

  • You feel torn between wanting a romantic connection and being afraid to repeat old patterns or attract unhealthy partners

  • You feel anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure about online dating apps

  • You're a self-aware, growth-oriented adult who wants a healthier, more intentional approach to dating and relationships

  • You need clarity, reassurance, and tools rather than pressure to “just put yourself out there.”

This workshop is not for:

  • Individuals currently in an active crisis or unsafe situation

  • People looking for dating “hacks,” manipulation tactics, or scripts

  • Those seeking couples counseling or repair in an ongoing relationship

  • Anyone wanting a quick fix without reflection or introspection

Do this for yourself.

Many people try to date again by overriding their gut instincts, rushing their healing process, or forcing themselves to be “ready” before they truly are.

That pressure doesn’t just cause anxiety and frustration—it actually makes you vulnerable to repeating the very same patterns you’re trying to leave behind. 🤯

When you join this workshop, you might think, “I don’t know if I’m ready for this or where to even start.”

But you’ll leave thinking, “I can trust myself to move forward at my own pace, and I have tools for when I’m ready.”

FAQ

I can’t make it live. Will there be a replay?
Yes! You’ll receive the replay after the workshop and have access for two weeks after the workshop.

I’m still hurting. What if this feels like too much?
This workshop isn’t about pushing you to move on. You’re welcome to simply listen, take what feels supportive, and leave the rest. Honoring the pace of your healing is the most important aspect of this material.

Online dating overwhelms me. Will this workshop help?
Yes. You’ll be offered a helpful framework on how to prioritize your own emotional safety when online dating. We’ll offer advice on how to create an aligned profile, pace connections, and filter out emotionally unsafe people.

Will I be pressured to start dating right away?
Not at all. The focus is clarity, not urgency. You’ll gain tools to assess readiness and make intentional choices about your next steps, whether that’s next week or next year.

How is this different from other dating workshops?
This workshop is trauma-informed and emotionally grounded. It prioritizes self-trust, nervous system awareness, and emotional safety rather than dating strategies designed to “find someone fast.”

Will there be a Q&A?
Yes. If you attend live, you’ll have the opportunity to ask Emily your questions about dating after heartbreak, emotional readiness, boundaries, and navigating modern dating with self-trust and relational savviness.
