Celebrating GSC aka Gaurav Singh Chauhan
For most things at Google India there's GUTS. For everything else, there's Gaurav Singh Chauhan. Except now he's exited the building, so let's celebrate GSC over a drink & hear some off the record stories !
Every large organisation has one person who isn't really on the org chart so much as underneath it, holding the whole thing up.
At Google India, that was Gaurav. When something needed to happen, and happen well, and happen soon - he was the man. He knew everyone, managed everything and made the impossible look like it had quietly been sorted hours ago.
He did it all without ever losing the grin. Deadlines bearing down, tough stakeholders to manage, a venue coming apart at the seams, a fire or three going at once, he stood calmly in the chaos.
His presence let everyone around him breathe a little easier. If you ever wondered what Googliness looked like in a person, it looked like Gaurav.
For thirteen years he was the person you called when you didn't know who else to call. Now he's off to a new adventure.
So we're gathering people who worked alongside him, past and present, for a night of food, drinks and the kind of stories nobody wrote down.

Google runs on acronyms, so here's one more for the list. Though with a corp card in some of your pockets, we suspect the DOY bit would apply ;)
