This is part of the Female Founders Rise Summer School for Founders. Check out our other summer sessions here.

AI has made it possible to build an app in an afternoon. The problem is that most of what comes out looks and feels identical - generic templates, half-broken flows, that unmistakable "AI slop" users can smell in seconds. Building fast is easy now. Building something with taste - something that actually works and that people genuinely want to use - is the hard part, and it's the part that still sets founders apart.

The good news: with the right approach you can build a genuinely exceptional product yourself, end to end. Not a pretty front end that falls apart the moment someone clicks - a real app, with a working backend, database and email flow, and a coding agent quietly finding and fixing your bugs while you get on with the business. No engineering team required.

In this Summer School masterclass, Quynh Tran-Thanh will show you how to get out of the AI slop and ship an app with taste - one that works end to end. With 10 years spent building 0-to-1 B2B SaaS products as a founding engineer, including an exit, Quynh knows exactly where the line sits between a demo that looks good in a screenshot and a product people actually pay for. She's the founder of Tiny Space.

This session is particularly geared towards non-technical and semi-technical founders who want to build their own product with AI but don't want it looking and feeling like everyone else's - though anyone shipping with AI tools will walk away with something useful.

You'll leave with:

  • How to avoid AI slop when building a website or app, so what you ship feels considered and distinctive rather than generic

  • How to take an app live end to end - a real working backend, database and email flow, not just a front end that photographs well

  • How to set up a coding agent that continuously finds and fixes bugs for you, so your product keeps improving without you living in the code

Speaker:
Quynh Tran-Thanh, Founder of Tiny Space (founding engineer, 10 years building 0-to-1 B2B SaaS, with an exit)
