Design Better Products with Motion: Best Practices for Interaction Design Library
Explore how motion has evolved from decoration into a core UX principle that shapes clarity, usability, and product behaviour. This session is for product and design teams. Lottie experts will teach you how leading teams are building motion design systems and motion frameworks that scale across their entire product — improving navigation, consistency, and communication between design and engineering.
We’ll break down how to:
✅ Understand why motion is UX and how it guides attention, supports wayfinding, reduces cognitive load, and creates more human digital experiences.
⚡️ Integrate motion into your design system using principles, tokens, patterns, and choreography.
💪🏻 Build a motion design system from scratch through audits, guiding principles, reusable presets, and documentation.
👅 Use interactive motion (via State Machine logic) as a design language to communicate system behaviour.
🫡 Create a shared, scalable motion library that keeps teams aligned.
By the end, attendees will have a clear workflow for adopting motion strategically and not just aesthetically and the practical steps to bring a motion-forward mindset into their work.
