2026 Conservation Invasion — Rio Salado Habitat Restoration
Join Arizona Sustainability Alliance for our 7th annual Conservation Invasion — a hands-on morning of habitat restoration along the Rio Salado.
This year we're planting up to 150 pollinators, removing invasive species, and revitalizing the Monarch butterfly garden in partnership with Phoenix Parks & Recreation. For the first time, the event is open to volunteers of all ages.

What to expect:
Check-in and breakfast snacks starting at 7:00 AM, opening remarks and a safety demo, then hands-on restoration work through mid-morning. Lunch is provided to close out the event.
What to wear:
Long sleeves, pants, closed-toed shoes, and a hat. Gloves, water, and sunscreen will be provided.
A few things to know before you register:
— All volunteers must digitally sign a waiver during registration.
— Volunteers under 18 require a parent/guardian waiver emailed to [email protected].
— Volunteers under 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
— Please watch the training videos linked in your confirmation email before the event.
Detailed instructions, parking info, and day-of logistics will be sent to all registered volunteers one week before the event.
This event is free to attend. If you’d like to support our work, suggested donations are $10, $25, or $50. All proceeds go toward building a more sustainable Arizona.
