About Event

For those arriving in Turin a day early for Wave, we're hosting a relaxed coworking day at a restored historic village on a hilltop overlooking the Alps. It’s an opportunity to escape the city, find a calm space for focused work, and connect with other attendees before the main event kicks off. This pop-up coworking day is a special edition of a regular gathering we host for remote workers. The goal is simple: provide a beautiful and productive environment with good Wi-Fi, great food, and interesting people. There is no formal agenda, just a space to work and connect authentically.

Small-Group Peer Sessions (New This Year)

Alongside quiet work areas, we are introducing informal, small-group sessions hosted by founders, operators, and builders from our network.

  • Informal & Interactive: No slideshows, keynotes, or pitches. These are relaxed conversations, hands-on problem-solving chats, or small group discussions where everyone sitting around the table contributes.

  • Flexible Timing: Sessions run anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes depending on the host and topic.

  • The Whiteboard Signup: To keep discussions personal and ensure everyone has a voice, each session is strictly limited to around 5 spots. There are no online reservations—when you arrive in the morning, check the physical whiteboard at the coffee station, grab a marker, and put your name down for the sessions you’d like to join.

Session Lineup

1. SEO & AI Search for Startups: Turning Organic & AI Search into Your Growth Engine

  • Host: Abbie Clement (CEO & Co-Founder @ Ziflo)

  • Format: 60 min | Practical Presentation & Live Site Teardown

  • Overview: Paid channels stop working the second you stop paying. Organic growth (both traditional SEO and AI Answer Engine Optimization / AEO) is the channel that keeps on giving. We’ll cover how startups can target keywords they can actually rank for, exploit structural advantages over legacy competitors, and adapt content so AI assistants recommend them first.

  • Live Teardown: Bring your startup site—we will take a live site from the audience and map out an organic growth plan on the spot.

2. Building the Network of Tomorrow: What Is It and How Do We Build It?

  • Host: Moritz Lembert (Advisor & Executive Coach)

  • Format: 45 min | Open Roundtable Discussion

  • Overview: How do we build high-trust, authentic networks as founders and leaders navigating complexity? Drawing from over 8 years as an executive coach working with business owners, Moritz leads a conversation exploring how we connect, collaborate, and construct meaningful relationships beyond standard networking small talk.

3. Stop Building Generic AI Tools: Build the One Only You Could Make

  • Host: Laurel Robbins (Founder, Hiking Tour Entrepreneur & AI Consultant)

  • Format: 60 min | Practical Framework & Group Feedback

  • Overview: Using her path of building specialized AI tools for her own adventure travel business—generating significant new revenue and email signups without ad spend—Laurel shares a framework to help you find where your unique domain expertise and AI actually intersect. All participants leave with a repeatable framework and feedback on their own project idea.

4. Market Validation & Regional Innovation: Navigating B2B & European Growth

  • Host: Alberto Mina (Venture Building, Innovation & Ecosystem Specialist @ C.NEXT Ivrea)

  • Format: 45 min | Peer Discussion & Ecosystem Insights

  • Overview: Testing new markets and validating business models can be tough without local trust. Alberto shares practical lessons from guiding startups across regional European tech hubs, discussing market validation frameworks, avoiding common expansion mistakes, and building strategic B2B partnerships.

5. Before Burnout Hits: Energy Drains, Boundaries & Early Warning Signs

  • Host: Iana Nyzhegorodova (Career Coach & CBT Practitioner)

  • Format: 45 min | Collaborative Roundtable & Peer Exchange

  • Overview: Burnout doesn’t happen overnight—it grows quietly through normalized tiredness, pushed-aside needs, and packed calendars. In this open peer discussion, Iana leads an informal exchange on recognizing our personal early warning signs, balancing daily energy-draining vs. energy-giving activities, and building practical habits to protect our capacity before reaching empty.

(Quiet work spaces and high-speed Wi-Fi remain open and available all day across the venue.)

The Space & Atmosphere

The venue, The Workation Village, is a former castle with origins dating back to the 10th century. You’ll find a unique blend of late Baroque and Neoclassical architecture, with many rooms retaining their original historic character. We will have several quiet areas set up for working, all with reliable Wi-Fi. The atmosphere is calm, comfortable, and deeply rooted in its surroundings.

Food & Connection

At midday, we will break for a shared lunch. The on-site trattoria will prepare a generous vegetarian buffet featuring specialties made with ingredients from local suppliers. This meal is a great moment to pause, enjoy authentic Italian food, and have informal conversations.

Practical Details

Contribution: A fee of €25 per person covers the full day of coworking and the vegetarian lunch buffet. Payment is collected on-site at the restaurant.

Location: The village is located a 45-minute drive from Turin. We recommend an early start for a smoother journey.

Carpooling: To make getting there easier, we encourage attendees to carpool. We will create a WhatsApp group for registered participants to coordinate shared rides. Please write me a PM for more details.

Who Is This For?

This day is for any Wave attendee—founders, creatives, developers, and investors—who wants a peaceful start to the week. It’s ideal for international visitors curious to see the Piedmontese countryside or for anyone who values connecting with peers in a setting without pressure or pretense.
