Coast Mates: Pottery for Blokes
A Coast Mates gathering: an afternoon of making something, a good feed, and a bit of banter.
Potter Sam Duckor-Jones (Gloria, Greymouth) will walk you through making your own piece from clay. No experience needed, nothing to bring but yourself. All materials provided.
We'll leave the pots to dry, then meet up again a few weeks later for a pit firing, an outdoor earth firing where the work goes into the ground overnight and comes out the next morning. That's when you take yours home. We'll lock in the date together on the day.
Delicious catered food will be provided, along with snacks and nibbles, tea and coffee. This is an alcohol-free gathering.
Free to attend. Spaces are limited to 15, so grab one while they're going.
Coast Mates is a WestREAP programme bringing men together across the Grey and Westland regions. Share a feed, do something practical and meet a few good people.
