The Metropolitan Museum of Art has just reopened its Mesoamerican galleries—and EA NYC is marking the occasion with a special afternoon tour and discussion.
We'll move through the galleries with a thematic lens: civilizational collapse and rebirth. The ancient cultures of Mesoamerica offer some of history's most striking examples of societies that rose to extraordinary heights, faced catastrophic disruption, and in some cases rebuilt. What can these histories teach us about resilience, systemic fragility, and the long arc of human flourishing?
