Kidical Mass Ride, March 14, 11AM, Aquatic Park
Kidical Mass invites you to come join us at Ride with the Tide on March 14, 11AM, as part of Waterside Workshops' Spring Fling. This event kicks off Waterside's inaugural spring programs, and is a collaboration with the City of Berkeley as part of its public outreach about tsunami awareness.
Did you know that keeping your bike ready for fun also happens to be excellent emergency preparedness? We'll learn why as we ride along Berkeley's tsunami zone, departing from Street Level Cycles toward Emeryville along Aquatic Park's bike and pedestrian trail.
The ride is a no-drop ride (see below); we expect to be back in time for lunch by 1PM.
About KM bike rides:
A Kidical Mass bike ride is a large group ride for kids of all ages, family members, and supporters. We choose an easy route that anyone can ride, and ride as a pack for safety and fun. While everyone rides at their own risk, we have guides to help keep the group together and block traffic at intersections.
The rides are free. All are welcome. The rides have an easy pace and are "no drop" rides, meaning no one will be left behind.
Making Kidical Mass safe: As consideration for being allowed to participate in East Bay Kidical Mass, all participants are deemed to have released from liability and waived any right to sue its organizers, their employees, officers, volunteers and agents from any and all claims, including claims of negligence, resulting in any physical injury, illness (including death) or economic loss suffered as a result of participating in this East Bay Kidical Mass. By participating in an East Bay Kidical Mass event, each participant understands that there are risks, such as physical and/or psychological injury, pain, suffering, illness, disfigurement, temporary or permanent disability, death or economic loss. These injuries or outcomes may arise from a participant’s or other’s actions, inactions, or negligence, or the condition of the location(s) or facility(ies). Nonetheless, participants assume all known and unknown risks of participation in East Bay Kidical Mass.
