✨ Join Us!
Join us for Better Future Night, an lively evening of connection, intentional conversation, and collective creating hosted by Better Future Club in collaboration with Climate California as part of LA Climate Week 2026. All are welcome!
The night’s theme, “The Power of Play,” explores how play can help combat doomerism and burnout while inviting us into a more imaginative mindset about what’s possible. We’ll explore the idea that reclaiming play may be essential, not optional, for well-being and effective movement building.
In addition to an evening full of fun, connection, and good food , you'll come away with a greater understanding about the principles of play and how you can incorporate them into your work, organizing, and even your daily life.
We'll kick things off with a short screening of Episode 6 docu-series Climate California which explores how play relates to climate action. Followed by a interactive night of activities, live music, games, creating, and connection. Topped off with tacos and drinks to keep you fueled for the night! 🌮🍹
Special guests include three individuals who are part of the Climate California docu-series:
Charles Loi, Lead Film producer of Climate California
Raine Stern, singer and musician

✨Event Impact
This event invites us to gather and explore how we sustain ourselves and community within the work of building a better future. The night centers on the question: What does it look like to incorporate play into the way we imagine and create change?
In a time where burnout and overwhelm are so present, play becomes a powerful way to reconnect with joy, each other, and the natural world. It opens space for imagination, creativity, and possibility, helping us stay grounded in a shared vision for the future while navigating the challenges of the present.
Together, we’ll watch, reflect, and engage in creative exploration in a welcoming, community-centered space.
🚊 Metro-accessible
"The Expo" event space is located across from the Farmdale stop on the Expo Line, with direct access from both Downtown Los Angeles and Santa Monica.
