​About the Film

​Phoenix Fury follows Ewura-Ama, a grieving widow who inherits a luxury resort in the Ghanaian countryside, only to have her carefully guarded life disrupted by the arrival of Yali, a newly elected Nigerian governor and longtime guest whose return awakens unresolved history.

​Woven through her story is the journey of Ifeatu, a young woman in Eastern Nigeria whose experiences of love, loss, and survival become deeply entangled with Yali—a man who first appears as her salvation before revealing himself to be far more complicated.

​Moving across decades and between Nigeria and Ghana, Phoenix Fury brings together the stories of two women whose lives intersect through the same man, ultimately confronting questions of grief, identity, vengeance, and redemption.

​Told in four interwoven chapters spanning Nigeria’s turbulent post-independence history to the present day, Phoenix Fury is anchored by powerhouse performances from Ama K. Abebrese, Uzoamaka Power, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Adjetey Anang, Ijeoma Grace Agu, Tina Mba, Onyinye Odokoro, Hadar Busia-Singleton, and more.
