About Event

AI is changing how charities work. Making the most of it starts with thoughtful, confident leadership grounded in your organisation’s values.

AI for Good is a two-part, in-person workshop series for charity leaders who want to understand AI, use it safely and apply it purposefully in their organisations.

Led by Emily Daniel, CEO of Together Co, and April Baker, consultant, the series combines practical learning with honest discussion about ethics, governance, safeguarding, data and organisational risk.

Participants are expected to attend both workshops, which are designed to build on one another.

Workshop 1: AI for Good — From Understanding to Action for Charity Leaders

Monday 7th September, 9.30am to 1pm

This session will help you understand what AI is, what it could mean for your organisation and how to lead its responsible adoption.

We will explore:

  • Opportunities and limitations of tools such as Copilot, Gemini & ChatGPT

  • Values, ethics and responsible decision-making

  • Governance, accountability and organisational boundaries

  • GDPR, safeguarding, cybersecurity and resilience

  • How to begin constructive conversations with staff, trustees and boards

Extech Cloud will also provide specialist input on AI and cybersecurity.

Workshop 2: AI in Action — From Prompts to Purpose-Built Tools

Monday 21st September, 9.30am to 1pm
Brighton

This hands-on session will help you put the learning from Workshop 1 into practice.

Through live demonstrations and guided exercises, you will learn how to:

  • Write clearer and more effective prompts

  • Give AI useful context and constraints

  • Improve and check AI responses

  • Use AI responsibly across different platforms
