Feminist Documentary Night
Feminist Documentary Night is a free monthly event we host in our home.
We're in the Dundas West Neighbourhood, (address upon registration) and the event is co-hosted by Business Coach Laura-Jean Bernhardson and RMT Becca Lemire.
This event is in our living room, with a small dog and cat on premises. Spots are limited!
7:00 - arrivals, social time
7:30 - movie starts
Before and after, we have general social time!
You can bring snacks, wine, pop, or whatever you'd like to share. But there's also no need to bring anything.
We have herbal tea (hot and cold) available and there is usually a lot of snacks available with lots of leftovers.
It's about community, friendship and learning together more than anything. :)

STATUS QUO? THE UNFINISHED BUSINESS OF FEMINISM IN CANADA
2012 | 1 hr 27 min | Canada
Canadian Feminism: How Far Have We Come?
A fascinating look at the history — and unfinished business — of the women’s movement in Canada. Filmmaker Karen Cho revisits the major issues feminists have fought for, including reproductive rights, universal childcare and violence against women, while asking how much progress Canada has actually made.
Using archival footage alongside contemporary stories, Status Quo? connects the feminist battles of previous generations with the issues women continue to face today.
ACCLAIM: Winner of the World Documentary Award at the 2012 Whistler Film Festival.
