Dr Aseem R Srivastava is an internationally trained paediatric and neonatal cardiac surgeon with advanced fellowship training from the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh (UPMC), and the East Carolina Heart Institute. He specialises in reconstructive surgery for neonates and infants, minimally invasive valve surgery, and robotic cardiac surgery, and is recognised for his commitment to early corrective repair in complex congenital heart disease. A gold medallist and widely published academician, he brings international-standard paediatric cardiac expertise to every case. Through the Jivo Connect Clinic initiative, he will collaborate with African physicians to provide structured specialist guidance on paediatric cardiac diagnosis, treatment planning, and surgical decision-making.

  • Congenital heart defects requiring surgical evaluation, including VSD, ASD, Tetralogy of Fallot, and Transposition of the Great Arteries

  • Neonatal and infant cardiac conditions requiring early corrective repair planning

  • Valve disorders including aortic and mitral valve disease in children

  • Complex single ventricle and hypoplastic left heart conditions

  • Patent Ductus Arteriosus requiring intervention planning

  • Adult congenital heart disease requiring specialist input

  • Second opinions before paediatric cardiac surgery or cross-border referral

Consultation Logistics

  • Consultations will be conducted via Zoom

  • Ideally, the patient should be present with the consulting doctor during the session

  • In exceptional circumstances, the patient may join remotely

  • Language of consultation: English

  • French interpreter available upon prior request

  • Case submission deadline: 22 April 2026 | 11:00 PM GMT

Please share patient case notes, imaging (echocardiography CT MRI), cardiac catheterisation reports where available, prior treatment history, and relevant investigations with your Jivo Coordinator before the submission deadline.
