Event Description
Ethereum is the foundation of modern Web3 — but getting started can feel overwhelming.
ETH Crash Course is an 8-week, structured, developer-focused program designed to take you from zero knowledge to building, testing, and understanding smart contracts.
Each session builds on the last, combining clear fundamentals with practical implementation, so you don’t just learn concepts, you learn how to actually build on Ethereum.
By the end of the course, you’ll understand how Ethereum works under the hood, how to write Solidity contracts, and how to test and secure them using modern tooling.
This course is facilitated by SM Web Systems and led by Myles Traut, bringing practical, real-world developer insight into every session.
What You Will Learn
• How Ethereum works at a fundamental level
• Key blockchain concepts: decentralization, transactions, gas
• How the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) executes code
• How to write smart contracts in Solidity
• How to deploy and interact with contracts
• How to test contracts using Foundry
• Core smart contract security principles
• Understanding ERC standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155)
• How to build real-world smart contract projects
Course Format
This is a live, structured learning experience designed for developers.
• 8 weeks total (1 module per week)
• Each session builds progressively
• Focus on both concepts + hands-on development
• Practical examples and real workflows
• Designed to give you a clear mental model + real coding ability
Who Should Attend
• Developers with no blockchain experience
• Web2 developers (JavaScript, Python, etc.)
• Beginners interested in Solidity
• Builders exploring Web3
• Anyone who wants to understand Ethereum and smart contracts from first principles
