About Event

Can't tell a bat star from a leather star? Wondering why that mottled star is standing on its tippy toes? And what kind of meal made that giant pink so chubby? Looking to hang-out with like-minded ocean lovers and find new snorkel buddies? Read on!

About the October Snork Talk

Phil Lambert (curator emeritus of natural history at the Royal BC Museum, past president of the Victoria Natural History Society and author of Sea Stars of British Columbia, Southeast Alaska and Puget Sound) will talk to us about all things sea stars! He'll cover species identification, habitats, feeding, reproduction and all the latest on seastar wasting disease.

Bonus: Free draw prizes for various seastar goodies and a gift certificate to East 2 West Freediving!
