About Event
At the Jam Station, children (ages 6–15) become Afrobeat creators. Guided by facilitators, they experiment with the core instruments that shaped Fela’s sound and work together to compose a complete Afrobeat song. This hands-on process shows how music can be both art and activism, with each session producing an original track that becomes part of a growing library of youthful Afrobeat creations.
Workshop Format
- 3 sessions per workshop day
- 1 hour per session
- 30-minute breaks between sessions
