QueerNext Workshop: Build Your Personal AI Assistant
AI is evolving fast, but most people are still only scratching the surface of what is possible.
Join us on September 22 for a small, hands-on workshop where you’ll build your own AI assistant, tailored to a real task in your day-to-day work, in one evening.
Whether you’re working in product, operations, or marketing, this session will help you move from simply prompting AI to actually delegating work to it.
😇 What to expect
This interactive workshop combines short conceptual input with practical application. After a short input session on how AI assistants work and where they create the most value, you’ll spend the rest of the evening building your own.
We will cover:
what AI assistants are and how they differ from simple prompting
how to break a task down into steps an assistant can actually support
how to build your own AI assistant, hands-on, during the session
The session is designed to be accessible, practical, and immediately useful.

a clear understanding of how to delegate tasks to AI, not just ask it questions
a repeatable approach for spotting where AI can create leverage in your work

Please bring your laptop, as there will be a practical part where you build your own AI agent.

Of the 2-hour workshop, roughly 30 mins will focus on input and frameworks, followed by approx. 90 mins of guided hands-on building.

This workshop is primarily for queer founders and operators working across the tech and startup ecosystem.
We also welcome allies and professionals from other sectors who are curious about applying AI in their own work.
A technical background is not required.

🎤 About the facilitator
The workshop is led by Thorsten Gluitz, product leader and founder of AI-X Lab. With 15+ years of experience building and scaling digital products across SaaS, mobility, marketplaces, and e-learning, he has worked with both early-stage startups and fast-growing scaleups.
Through AI-X Lab, Thorsten supports organizations in applying AI in practical and human-centered ways, helping teams move from experimentation to real use cases that create meaningful impact in their day-to-day work.
