🌿Tibetan Buddhist Meditation Immersion

Most of us already spend our days training the mind, often without realizing it.

At its heart, Tibetan Buddhist meditation is a form of mental training: a practical way to understand how thoughts, habits, and perceptions are created, and how they can be gently reshaped over time. Rather than trying to escape everyday life, these practices were designed to help us meet it with more clarity, steadiness, and care.

This three-day immersion offers a grounded introduction to Tibetan Buddhist visualization meditation as it has been practiced and transmitted for centuries, while remaining accessible and relevant for modern practitioners. Through guided practice, explanation, and discussion, participants are invited to understand not just what to do when they sit down to meditate, but why certain methods work, and how to apply them consistently.

This immersion is a rare opportunity to study in person with Hector Marcel in Barcelona. As Three Jewels NYC marks its 30-year anniversary, Hector brings decades of personal practice, retreat experience, and teaching into an intimate training setting. Having guided students, teachers, and organizations around the world, his approach is known for its clarity, structure, and ability to meet people exactly where they are; whether they are new to meditation or have been practicing for many years. Opportunities to learn in this way, with this level of experience and continuity, are increasingly rare.

This immersion will explore:

• Learning how attention is trained and sustained in meditation
• Core Buddhist principles that explain how and why meditation works
• Exploring emptiness and karma in relation to everyday experience
• Introduction to preliminary practices and teacher meditation
• Cultivating love and compassion as part of a balanced path

Each session combines clear teaching with direct experience, allowing participants to gradually build understanding while staying connected to their own lived reality.

This immersion is open to both experienced meditators and those newer to practice who feel curious to go deeper. No prior background in Buddhism is required, only an interest in learning meditation as a meaningful, sustainable discipline rather than a quick fix.

Your Guide: Hector Marcel

The training is led by Hector Marcel, President of Three Jewels, a nonprofit Enlightenment Studio based in New York City.

Hector has been studying Tibetan Buddhist philosophy and meditation since the mid-1990s and has spent decades teaching these practices in a clear, structured, and approachable way. His work focuses on making ancient wisdom usable in everyday life—whether for personal practice, teaching, or leadership.

Founded in 1996, Three Jewels is dedicated to sharing authentic Buddhist teachings through meditation, yoga, philosophy, and service, and has grown into a global community committed to genuine inner development.

A Complete Immersion

This meditation immersion takes place alongside the Tibetan Buddhist Yoga Immersion offered each afternoon with Rachel Webb and Sachi Pettit. Together, the two programs create a balanced and powerful experience, working with both inner and outer methods to support a more integrated understanding of practice.

🌟Tibetan Buddhist Yoga Immersion

Tibetan Buddhist yoga approaches the body as an essential part of inner transformation. Movement, breath, and visualization are used together to support clarity of mind, emotional balance, and focus in practice. Rather than focusing on performance or external form, these practices invite a deeper listening to how the body participates in shaping our experience of life.

Rooted in lineage-based Tibetan Buddhist teachings, this immersion explores yoga as a method for working with the physical body and the subtle body in service of meditation and insight. Through asana, breath, and dharma, participants are supported in understanding how yoga practice can create the conditions for clarity, stability, and wisdom.

This three-day immersion offers a practical and experiential introduction to Tibetan Buddhist and yogic philosophies as it is practiced within the Gelugpa tradition of the Dalai Lama’s. Sessions emphasize conscious movement, internal awareness, and deepening of understanding, allowing participants to build new knowledge gradually while staying connected to their own lived experience.

This immersion will explore:

• Using asana in connection with meditation and insight
• The relationship between breath, posture, and intention
• Working skillfully with the subtle body from mind and body
• Developing stability, sensitivity, and internal focus
• Integrating dharma and yoga into a sustainable and meaningful practice

This immersion is open to yoga teachers, dedicated practitioners, and those newer to yoga who are curious to explore a lineage-based approach that goes beyond fitness or flexibility. No prior experience with Tibetan Buddhism is required, only an interest in practicing yoga as a path of deeper transformation.

Your Guides: Rachel & Sachi

The yoga immersion is led by Rachel Webb and Sachi Pettit, Co-Executive Directors of Three Jewels NYC

Together, they bring years of experience teaching yoga and leading yoga teacher trainings within a Tibetan Buddhist framework that integrates asana, meditation, and philosophy. Their approach emphasizes precision, accessibility, and respect for both tradition and the realities of modern life.

A Complete Immersion

Participants are encouraged to attend both immersions for a fuller and more integrated exploration of these ancient tools, practiced in a way that supports depth, continuity, and real life.
