First gathering / CSIRO project update
Save the Date.
Topic (to be confirmed): What is CDR and how does it work? plus an update on Energy Together & CSIRO's Energy Data Project.
Consumer Data Right (CDR) is the mechanism by which you can provide consent for websites such as Energy Made Easy to access your smart meter data in return for giving you information about your energy use. CSIRO's Energy Data Living Lab intends to access this feature and is currently jumping through the privacy guarantee hoops.
Given this is our first time meeting, we will spend some time getting to know each other and discussing our different needs and aspirations. I have written about communities of practice before and these two visuals help capture why I think they're important.

Many of you have indicated an interest in a regular energy data nerds gathering. We will aim for 6 meetings over 2027 if there is sufficient demand.
One of the first things we can develop is a library of useful data resources and modelling tools for sharing - stay tuned!
