21:15 - Lightning Talks and networking!

Details of the speakers:

  • [ENG] What LLMs Cannot Know Before Acting - Krzysztof Tylka-Suleja - Large language models generate responses under uncertainty about missing information at generation time, which limits what can be achieved with a single prompt. This talk examines these limits and their implications for improving model outputs. Iterative feedback can partially address missing information, but making it work reliably is non-trivial. In a general setting where models receive signals such as tests, constraints, or evaluation metrics, feedback sometimes improves results but also reveals failures such as resistance to correction, loss of consistency, and degradation under poorly structured signals.
About the speaker: Krzysztof Tylka-Suleja is a PhD student in computer science at AGH University of Science and Technology (WIET). His work focuses on adaptive feedback in deep learning, with emphasis on improving the reliability of large language models. He has presented his research at international workshops, including the Workshop on AI in Higher Education and Research in Zlín. He is passionate about LLMs as decision-support systems and enjoys experimenting with sensors, motors, and simple electronic systems.
