Climate Hope Lab's Climate Action Design Jam
Join us on Saturday, October 24th for Climate Hope Lab's second annual Climate Action Design Jam.
Design Jams are collaborative, creative events where community members come together to explore local challenges, share ideas, and develop community-driven solutions.
Throughout the day, participants will take part in interactive activities, creative workshops, collaborative brainstorming, and a friendly team-based design challenge.
This Design Jam will create a space for community members to connect with one another, explore climate action in their communities, and turn ideas into action. Through a combination of art, conversation, teamwork, and creative problem-solving, we’ll work together to imagine new possibilities for local climate action while building skills, confidence, and community connections.
The day will include:
Welcome & Networking: Start the day with coffee, tea, and locally purchased baked goods, and connect with other participants over a bingo (with prizes!).
Hands-on Art Facilitation Session: Explore climate action and community through a creative, hands-on art activity.
Design Jam: Work collaboratively in small teams (assigned on day of) to explore a local challenge, develop ideas, and create a pitch for your proposed community-centred solution.
Community Choice Award: Celebrate the ideas developed throughout the day with a fun Community Choice Award, which will be voted on by all attendees.
This event is all about creativity, collaboration, connection, and empowering community voices. You don’t need to have previous experience or knowledge, design experience, or community organizing - just bring your ideas, curiosity, good vibes, and willingness to collaborate.
We can’t wait to spend the day creating, connecting, and imagining what our communities can look and feel like!

Event Address: 10C Shared Space, Guelph, Ontario - 4th Floor.
Who is this event for? We warmly welcome registrations from everyone, but strongly encourage youth to attend. We will be opening the event with shared community guidelines.

This event is organized by Climate Hope Lab. We are a community collective dedicated to addressing climate anxiety and turning feelings of hopelessness into action. A mighty team of two, we strive to create supportive spaces where community members can connect, collaborate, and lead positive change in their communities. We are based in Guelph and Hamilton, Ontario.
