Fell Knives Studio Visit: Sloyd from Forge to Finish

​Tool makers/shops was the top field trip pick in our community poll, so we’re kicking things off with a studio visit to Fell Knives! Knife maker Nicholas Berkofsky will take us through the full process of making a sloyd knife, a tool used in wood carving. He will cover forging, grinding, sharpening, and making and fitting a handle.

​The demonstration is expected to last 3-4 hours and we're powering through from 10am to ~2/3pm so eat a big breakfast! There’s also a great street taco vendor diagonally across the street if you need to refuel.

​15 people max. (Please note: we will prioritize spots for those who answered "tool makers/shops" in the community poll.)

​Nicholas will have some sloyds available for purchase or a custom order form.

​Event is free with rsvp and must sign waiver to attend (will be sent out via email prior to event).
