About Event

The ETA process focuses on buying and scaling an existing business. The perspective is from the entrepreneur’s point of view—how to search, evaluate, value, negotiate, transition, and grow an acquired company.  But there is another major player in the game that has a major impact on achieving a successful outcome, the seller.

During this discussion, former owners and advisors will share candid stories about what it was like to sell a business from the seller’s side of the table. You’ll hear how they thought about timing, buyers, and offers, what motivated them, and what worried them as negotiations moved forward. Their experiences and reflections can help you better understand seller priorities and bring more nuance to how you approach your own outreach, offers, and negotiations.

  • Attendees will hear the seller's personal stories about their experiences when selling their business.

  • They will gain insights from sellers about their thoughts and feelings.

  • Hear from seller's about how they approached selling the business

  • What were their motivations and concerns as they negotiated the sale?
