AI Safety Connect Day - Workshop: Defining and Governing Unacceptable AI Risks
This session is part of AI Safety Connect Day (February 18, 2026, The Imperial Hotel, New Delhi) — a high-level, invitation-only side event co-hosted by AI Safety Connect and IASEAI. See our speakers and the full program, and register your interest for the main event here.
This workshop builds on the Global Call for AI Red Lines - a statement signed by over 100 prominent leaders, AI experts and Nobel laureates - calling for governments to come to international agreement on clear and verifiable red lines for preventing universally unacceptable risks in 2026.
The session brings together government representatives, multilateral organizations, and expert institutions to examine where AI red lines are already forming, to identify areas of convergence across jurisdictions, and explore how these shared constraints can be elevated into coherent global mechanisms for AI governance.
The workshop features these distinguished speakers:
Niki Iliadis, Global AI Governance Director, The Future Society
Charbel Segerie, Executive Director, CeSIA
Father Paolo Benanti - Professor at Luiss Guido Carli University, member of the UN Advisory Body on AI, and AI advisor to the Vatican
Ambassador Anne Marie Engtoft Meldgaard, Tech Ambassador for the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Brando Benifei, Member of the European Parliament
Guilherme Fitzgibbon Alves Pereira, Special Advisor for AI Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil
Akiko Murakami, Executive Director of Japan AI Safety Institute (J-AISI)
Wan Sie Lee, Director of AI Governance and Safety, Singapore IMDA
