​NOCSGVBGC Public Social/Casual Backgammon Night
Thurs 1/29/26 - Fullerton, CA

Our first Social Event for 2026!

​ALL levels welcome (even new beginners)
Have Fun / Make Friends / Learn Tips and Strategies to Improve.
Come at any time / leave at any time (but you have more chance to win prizes if you get there early and stay until the end)

Details:
$10 entry fee each person

​(BUT...You can get 1/2 off ($5) YOUR ticket after paying full price for 2 tix) if you bring a friend who is also playing that night. Note - Guest ticket is at full price.)

• ​Raffle Prizes and other prizes for top player(s) with each win / most wins.

• ​Possible venue gift card prizes as well if enough people RSVP. So tell your friends.

• ​1 point single casual games. No Clocks. No Cube used.

• ​1 point earned (and extra raffle chance) for every game won. The more points you earn the higher you go on the leader board and chance for the grand prize and a chance to face off against the Expert or the "Boss" / Founded

• ​"Beat the Boss" or "Beat the Expert" challenge event (if time permits)

​Schedule:
4:30-5:30pm - Early check-in and eat/drink and socialize. But you can arrive at any time though. We'd love to meet you and show you this fun and amazing game.
5:30-6:00 - Match up with first opponents or Learn how to play. Lessons by an expert or the club President.
6pm - 8pm - All players play. Rotate opponent after each game (if possible)
8pm - 8:30pm - (Optional) Beat the Boss Beat the Expert/Boss Challenge for top winners / Others continue to play (if desired) or watch the challenge and root on the player to take down the Expert/Boss
8:30 - 8:45 pm - Raffle / Door Prizes / Event Ends
8:45 - Clean-up . Break down
9pm - Venue closes Sharp

*** BRING YOUR OWN BACKGAMMON BOARD ***
If you don't have your own board, try and borrow one but if not we can loan you one ($5 non-refundable usage fee). VERY LIMITED loaners available. Or you can play with someone else who has their own board. We can also direct you to find great boards at reasonable prices. Once you start with backgammon you will LOVE it and want to play all the time,.

​Club membership is NOT required for this Social/Casual Event, only required for our Tournament Events.
