WE Learning Kitchen
Cook something. Learn something. Change something for people–planet win–wins.
There’s no silver bullet for addressing climate change, but there are silver seeds: everyday actions that can add up to meaningful change.
The Wellbeing Engineering Learning Kitchen in collaboration with Red Dot Ranch is a hands-on way to find and grow those seeds through food. Every day, we make decisions about what to buy, cook, eat, store, and throw away within a web of considerations including health, preferences, budget, culture, time, availability, and environmental impacts.
Using systems thinking, we’ll explore how our everyday food decisions are impacted by and impact taste preferences, health, economics, agricultural production & distribution, culture, the environment, nature, and climate—and how we can make changes that create people–planet win–wins.
We will grow our silver seeds and leverage two of the largest opportunities for reducing emissions in food and land systems: improving diets and reducing food loss and waste (Project Drawdown). This isn't about making “perfect” choices. It's about understanding the system, finding opportunities for change, and putting something into practice.
No expertise or perfect diet required. Just curiosity, a willingness to experiment, and a desire to make food choices work better for people and the planet.
Cook. Learn. Experiment. Connect. Change something.
