More than a Vibe Check
“I vibe coded it over the weekend.”
If that’s you, hear me out.
Very cool. But, did you check if anyone actually wants it?
That’s what this workshop is about.
I’m Sherlie, a User Researcher working on AI agents. My job is basically asking questions, observing people and listening to them (a lot) so we don’t spend three weeks building something that dies in three days.
For the last 5-6 years, I’ve been turning messy human conversations into product decisions. In this workshop, I’ll show you how I actually do it and how you can do it too (without becoming a researcher).
We’ll talk about:
How to figure out what question you should actually be answering
How AI can write very convincing and very biased interview questions
How AI sometimes “cleans up” what someone said and completely changes what they meant (Delulu is not the Solulu here folks)
How to take five conversations and figure out what you should actually do with them
You’ll leave with:
A research question for whatever you’re working on
Better prompts for interview guides
A simple way to make sense of interviews without drowning in sticky notes
A guide you can use the next time you talk to users
Bring your laptop and one idea.
Something you haven’t built yet, something you’re building right now, or something you probably shouldn’t have built (It’s never too late)
If you’re a founder, PM, designer, engineer or honestly, if you build things, anything at all, just come.
You don’t need to know anything about research. Just bring something you’re building and be ready to question it a little.
2 hours. Very hands-on. Hopefully fewer bad ideas shipped moving forward.
