Pioneering Minds AI: Hack for Impact
An AI Workflow Hackathon

Don’t just use AI. Redesign how work gets done.

AI is changing how we research, learn, build products, analyze contracts, manage money, and make decisions. But adding a chatbot to an existing process is not the same as building an AI-native workflow.

The real opportunity is to rethink the workflow itself:

What should humans still do?
What should AI handle?
What can be automated entirely?
And where does human judgment become even more important?

This is a one-day hackathon where participants redesign real-world workflows using AI.

Teams will choose a problem from one of four tracks, identify a broken or inefficient workflow, and build an AI-native product, agent, or system that makes it dramatically better.

You do not need to arrive with a startup idea.

Come with curiosity. Find a problem. Build something.

The winning teams can also secure their spot at our upcoming Pitching Masterclass, where they can sharpen their story, product positioning, and pitch.

The Challenge

Teams will identify an existing workflow and redesign it for the age of AI.

Your project should answer three questions:

What is broken, slow, repetitive, or unnecessarily difficult today?

What should AI do differently?

What does the new workflow look like when AI is built into it from the beginning?

Projects can take the form of an AI agent, internal tool, workflow automation, consumer product, enterprise application, or prototype.

Hackathon Tracks

Participants may choose one of four tracks.

  1. Critical Thinking & Learning
AI can produce answers in seconds. But getting an answer is not the same as understanding something.
As AI becomes capable of performing more cognitive tasks, skills such as critical thinking, judgment, curiosity, problem decomposition, and learning how to learn may become even more important.
Build a product or workflow that uses AI to help people think better rather than simply think less.

  2. AI for Product Management Workflows
Product managers spend enormous amounts of time gathering information, coordinating teams, analyzing feedback, writing documents, prioritizing ideas, and turning ambiguity into decisions.
Many of these workflows were designed before AI existed. Redesign them.

  3. Legal Tech Workflows
Legal work is full of complex, document-heavy processes where accuracy, judgment, and context matter.
AI creates an opportunity to fundamentally rethink how legal professionals research, review, draft, analyze, and manage information.
They must also consider accuracy, explainability, accountability, and human review.

  4. Fintech & Insurtech Workflows
Financial services and insurance involve some of the most complex workflows in business: underwriting, compliance, risk assessment, fraud detection, claims, financial analysis, and customer onboarding.
Many still involve fragmented systems, repetitive manual review, and enormous amounts of unstructured data.

What You'll Build

Teams will have one day to identify a problem, design a solution, build a prototype, and present it to our judges.

Your prototype does not need to be production-ready.

We care about:

  • The quality of the problem

  • How thoughtfully you redesign the workflow

  • How meaningfully AI improves the process

  • The usability of your prototype

  • Whether someone would actually use it

All backgrounds are welcome.

You do not need to be an engineer to participate.

Product managers, designers, lawyers, finance professionals, founders, students, operators, and domain experts are strongly encouraged to join.

Coaching and mentorship will be available onsite.

What We'll Explore
