About the talks:
Talk 1: Boy, That Escalated Quickly — From Microsegmentation to More Than 150 Gateways with OpenShift and Cilium Enterprise
At the outset, the task seemed surprisingly clear: microsegmentation. Workloads were to receive only the connections they genuinely required, while individual ingress permissions needed to be controllable in a targeted manner.
Add a bit of ClusterMesh, transport encryption, and further requirements for controllable entry points, and the security initiative evolved into a Gateway API landscape with more than 150 gateways.
This is a field report based on working with Cilium Enterprise and OpenShift on-premises in a historically evolved, regulated environment.
