BioRevolution #4 - Organoid Intelligence: AI to OI
This invitation is reserved for you.
After editions in Barcelona and Istanbul, BioRevolution arrives in Berlin. This is the closed session of the evening: a private, invitation-based conversation for scientists, entrepreneurs, investors and science communicators who are shaping the future of biotechnology.
Hosted by Elif Damla Karakolcu, BioRevolution brings together people from across the biotech ecosystem to talk about what is coming before it makes the headlines. The challenges of this era are too large for any single person, company, country, or organization to solve alone, so we start with the people in the room.
Edmund White is the author of AI Today: OI Tomorrow, a book on organoid intelligence: the idea of building computation from living neurons, with ultra-efficient biocomputers, new medical applications, and the ethical questions that come with “living” machines.
For this roundtable, Edmund will open with a talk on where organoid intelligence stands today, what is real and what is hype, and where the field is heading. Then the conversation passes to the table. With founders, investors, and builders in the same room, we expect the discussion to go well beyond what a long presentation could offer.
What to expect:
A close, unhurried conversation, not a conference talk
A guest whose perspective is worth being in the room for
Space to ask questions, challenge ideas and connect directly
Honest exchange between scientists, builders and funders
This is an intimate, participatory space. You are welcome to contribute actively or simply listen.
This edition finds its home at Balance Wein Bar in Berlin, a place that suits the way we like to meet: close, warm and face to face. We have prepared the evening with care, and your invitation includes a welcome glass and a generous spread to share around the table.
At 20:30, the doors open to the wider community for open networking.
🎥 The session will be published on YouTube. Participation in the discussion is optional. (You can share your ideas, or you can just be with us in silence.) Click here to watch BioRevolution #1.
If you would like to bring someone who shares the spirit of this gathering, feel free to reach out.
See you in Berlin.
