This October 31, Candid Club is taking over the gardens of Baluarte de San Diego for a night of beautiful tragedy, extravagant costumes, forbidden romance and a little Halloween chaos.
We’re bringing together two iconic worlds: Marie Antoinette (2006) and Twilight (2008).
One gave us a queen who had everything but freedom. The other gave us a girl who fell in love with a vampire.
Both beautifully doomed.
And for one night, you’re invited to join the club.

A Double Feature Under the Stars 🎬
First Screening: Marie Antoinette (2006)
Enter Sofia Coppola’s world of decadent parties, powdered wigs, pastel gowns and a young queen whose beautiful life was destined to unravel.
Second Screening: Twilight (2008)
Trade Versailles for Forks. Vampires, forbidden romance, immortal love and the kind of teenage obsession that defined a generation.
Settle onto the lawn with your picnic mat, movie snacks and a drink as we screen both films under the night sky.
And once the final credits roll, the DJ takes over. The bars stay open, the music gets louder, and the Doomed Girls Club Halloween party begins.

Dress Code: Beautifully Doomed 🥀
Versailles meets Forks. Rococo decadence meets vampire romance.
Think tragic heroines, doomed lovers, fallen royalty, immortal beauties and girls who look gorgeous on their way to disaster.
Corsets, lace, pearls, ribbons, powdered wigs, dramatic gowns, vampire-inspired looks, gothic romance, dark glamour and all things beautifully excessive.
Channel Marie Antoinette, Bella Swan, Alice Cullen, Rosalie Hale, or create your own beautifully doomed character.
Historical accuracy is not required. Dramatic commitment is highly encouraged.
