Scientific Breakthrough Ep. 5: Exploring Epigenetic Memory Dynamics
We’re proud to share that the speaker for our next session will be Simone Bruno, a Damon Runyon Quantitative Biology Fellow in the Department of Data Science at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, whose research focuses on understanding chromatin modification dynamics and their role in epigenetic memory and cancer evolution through quantitative modeling.
During his talk, Simone will discuss how a computational framework for modeling chromatin modification circuits — including the analysis of intrinsic noise and ultrasensitive DNA methylation dynamics — can generate analog epigenetic memory and challenge the classical binary view of gene-expression memory.
🎤 Moderator: Francesca Usai, Head of Sponsorship at Nucleate Italy
✨ Scientific Breakthrough is Nucleate Italy’s newer program featuring outstanding scientists and rising innovators shaping the future of biotechnology. Each episode gives young researchers a platform to explore high-impact discoveries and foster cross-disciplinary dialogue.
