Breathe and Grieve: Holding Ourselves Through Motherhood
Join the community of A Grief Like Mine for a gentle, grounding yoga experience designed to support those navigating grief connected to motherhood.
This gathering is open to anyone holding grief in relation to motherhood—whether that includes the loss of a mother, becoming a mother, longing to be one, or moving through a more complex maternal relationship. All experiences are welcome here.
🗓 Date: [Insert Date]
⏰ Time: 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m.
📍 Location: Dorothy Green Park
🌿 Meeting Spot: Grassy area between Hollister Ave and Wadsworth Ave
🧘♀️ Led by yoga teacher and instructor Veronica Cecchetti, this session invites you into a soft, supportive flow where you can follow your body’s needs—whether that means turning inward, gently opening, or simply resting.
Veronica brings a deeply personal perspective to her teaching. Having experienced grief firsthand, she turned to yoga as a source of healing after the loss of both her grandmother and her former partner. She now holds space for others navigating loss, weaving together movement, breath, and compassion.
🌷 In honor of Maternal Mental Health Awareness Month, we acknowledge the emotional weight that can come with motherhood and loss. Through gentle movement, breath, and moments of stillness, this session invites you to slow down, reconnect with your body, and move through what you’re carrying with care.
🌿 Together, we’ll create space to soften, release, and gently tend to ourselves—honoring both what we carry and what we’re still becoming.
No prior yoga experience is needed. Come as you are.
Please bring a yoga mat, water, and anything that helps you feel comfortable (blanket, pillow, journal, etc.).
