Erosion: Hike with Film Director Katherine Vondy (Berkeley)
Interested in taking a light hike with HIKING BUDDIES Film Director Katherine Vondy and Erosion Co-Founder Tracy Held? Then join us on Saturday, April 4th for a free hike in the Berkeley Marina, starting at the McLaughlin Eastshore State Park. Depending on participant interest and pace, we may walk around trails adjacent to this park.
HIKING BUDDIES is a horror slasher comedy feature film about a woman who is so obsessed with Leave No Trace principles that when her hiking buddies leave trash on the trail, she kills them! This is a cautionary tale to make viewers think twice about littering. On this hike, participants are encouraged to help pick up trash!
Bring layers (this area is often windy), sun protection, hydration, snacks, and something to help dispose of trash with.
Katherine Vondy (Director) is an award-winning director/writer and experienced film producer whose work includes Erosion's Pistachi-NO! and films featured on funnyordie.com. Tracy Held (Producer) is a film producer with experience raising over $3M in grants and donations and serves as the Vice-Chair of the WGA's Asian American Writers Committee. She is overcoming her fear of scary things to make HIKING BUDDIES.
