Brikicho2026: The Wisdom of Seeds Exhibition
"The future is the culmination of ideas we seed today."
Anchored in the belief that the future is the culmination of ideas we seed today, this exhibition/ open laboratory reclaims spatial sovereignty through three core provocations. First, The African Precedent honors indigenous brilliance, asking how design schools can embed traditional spatial intelligence into modern pedagogy. Second, Who Shapes Built Space challenges power and access, seeking to expand practice and dismantle prejudices surrounding the continent's built environment. Finally, On Craft celebrates the beauty of the handmade, restoring the vital, "thinking hand" of the master artisan to contemporary architecture.
This year, Brikicho invites you to question Nairobi through this lens: its legacy, and the future we are building as active citizens.
What is Brikicho?
Brikicho is a recurring annual program and inquiry by the African Art Agenda and this year, the program shifts focus toward spatial research, design, and architecture.
This event is for any professional of the built environment and other ecosystem players.
Due to limited capacity at the gallery, we are strictly RSVP only.
Can't wait to see you there!
