About Event

Join us for a low-key evening at Talk Shop β€” the bar at Caption by Hyatt Central Sydney in Haymarket β€” with Jean-Georges "jgp" Perrin, chair of the Linux Foundation's Bitol project and one of the most well-travelled voices in the data world.

The talk: Make Your AI Scream β€” Use Data Contracts and Data Products

Your AI is screaming. Right now. You're feeding it cryptic columns, no ownership, no quality rules β€” and somehow expecting it not to hallucinate. In this 20-minute session, jgp explores why AI consistently fails without proper context, and how two open standards governed by the Linux Foundation β€” the Open Data Contract Standard (ODCS) and the Open Data Product Standard (ODPS) β€” can turn that scream of horror into a scream of joy.

A live demo will show the difference in real time: same AI, same question, radically better answer.

You'll leave with concrete steps you can start on Monday morning β€” and possibly a new soft spot for YAML.

According to BARC (2026), teams using data contracts are 3.4Γ— more likely to get their AI projects into production.
