August Climate Cafe by Climate Cafe South Brooklyn

​Join Climate Cafe South Brooklyn for our August Climate Café on Saturday, August 22 from 1:00-3:00 PM at the Salt Marsh Nature Center, 3301 Avenue U in Brooklyn. When you enter the Nature Center, make a right to find us. From 1:00-2:00 PM, we’ll hold a welcoming, facilitated conversation about climate change, the environment, and the emotions and experiences these issues bring up. From 2:00-3:00 PM, we’ll feature a special guest artist presentation by Jenni Horton.

​Jenni is a Brooklyn-based textile artist and teacher who creates work using traditional embroidery, recycled materials, and mixed media. The event is completely free and open to all ages, with free hot coffee and tea provided by Marine Park Coffee. No prior climate knowledge or experience is needed.
