Salt River Sounds: An Immersive Listening & Creative Writing Experience

​This gathering is an opportunity to slow down, tune in, and experience the Salt River in a new way.

​Through guided listening, moments of reflection, and creative writing prompts, we'll explore the river as a source of inspiration, memory, and connection.

​No writing experience is necessary, just a curiosity and a willingness to listen. Join us as we discover how sound, story, and place can deepen our relationship with one of Arizona's most iconic waterways.

​During our time together we will...

​Listen to a 41-minute compilation of recordings along the Salt River from Saguaro Lake to Central Avenue.

​Practice deep listening & being present with the evolving soundscape

​Write a personal reflective piece as you listen - this can be a poem, story, letter, memory, vision, mood board, etc.

​Share your piece to be included in the community collection
