About Event

As food and industrial manufacturers face increasing pressure to improve productivity, reduce energy consumption, and scale operations efficiently, AI is becoming a practical tool to optimise manufacturing performance. From increasing throughput and improving process control to reducing downtime and enhancing operational efficiency, AI is moving from experimentation to real-world deployment.

Held in conjunction with the National University of Singapore (NUS), join Agrifood Futures for an industry-focused discussion on practical AI-driven optimisation in food and industrial manufacturing with Professor Kit Windows-Yule, Chief Scientific Officer at EvoPhase, AI researcher at the University of Birmingham, and AI Ethics Panel Member at the Alan Turing Institute, the UK’s foremost AI institution.

Drawing on experience from both industrial deployments and academic research, Professor Kit Windows-Yule will share how manufacturers are applying AI to optimise production processes, improve energy efficiency, increase throughput, enhance process performance, and support scale-up from pilot to commercial operations. The session will also explore implementation challenges, lessons learned from deployments across the UK, Europe, and Southeast Asia, and where AI can deliver measurable business value. We will then close with a networking coffee.

Who should attend?

  • Food manufacturers

  • Industrial manufacturers

  • Innovation and R&D leaders
