Planning delays remain one of the biggest barriers to delivering new homes. From negotiating Section 106 agreements to managing consultation, data, evidence and approvals, housing providers and local authorities often face lengthy and resource-intensive processes that slow delivery and increase costs.
At the same time, a new generation of PropTech innovators is developing tools designed to make the planning process more transparent, efficient and responsive. The MHCLG Proptech Innovation Fund Round 6 seeks to support that innovation.
In this joint webinar between DIN and PUBLIC, we bring together housing providers, local authorities and innovators to explore whether technology can genuinely help tackle some of the most persistent challenges in the planning process.
The session will examine emerging approaches being piloted through the government's PropTech programme, focusing on solutions aimed at improving planning efficiency, supporting better decision-making and accelerating the delivery of affordable housing.
What to expect
Three live PropTech Round 6 pilots focusing on streamlining S106 processes, Ai Gizmo, GPETO AI, and Planning Hub will present an exclusive demo of their solutions for the first time.
This innovation spotlight will highlight the problem each is solving, what's being tested, the lessons so far, and where it could apply in housing.
Each pilot will be allotted 5 minutes to present their tools, after which the audience can ask questions and find out more.
We'll close with a brief reflection on common themes from discussions and share information for staying in touch.
