About Event

Come learn how mountain lions are adapting to San Diego’s wild spaces and changing climate in this cool talk!

Mountain lions still move through Mission Trails Regional Park, just miles from the center of San Diego. Their presence is a reminder of what’s at stake as our region grows, warms and changes.

As part of San Diego Climate Week 2026, join the Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation and a local wildlife and conservation expert for an evening about mountain lions, protected habitat and what it takes to keep native wildlife on the landscape in a major city.

Join the Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 6PM at the Visitor Center for Mountain Lions in San Diego: Wildlife, Habitat and a Changing Climate.

The program will be led by volunteer naturalist Don Endicott, a certified interpretive guide and Mission Trails Regional Park Trail Guide who has spent more than 50 years exploring and photographing wildlife and wilderness throughout California and the West. His multimedia presentation will explore mountain lion behavior, their role in healthy ecosystems, their relationship with people and what to do if you encounter one in the backcountry.

The event is currently full, but you can join the waitlist.
