​A Night of Global Grooves & Indian Classical Fusion for Día de los Muertos

​On Sunday, 1 November, we’re delighted to welcome ACHHA, an Amsterdam-based ensemble bringing together the richness of Indian classical music and the infectious energy of global grooves. Rooted in tradition yet unapologetically contemporary, their sound reflects everything we love about music: cultural connection, creative expression and the joy of bringing people together.

​The Sound

​Led by the captivating Sandhya Sanjana, ACHHA creates a vibrant musical dialogue between soulful Indian classical vocals, deep funk and rhythmic jazz. Blending Indian ragas with urban influences and irresistible grooves, the ensemble moves effortlessly between moments of musical intimacy and high-energy rhythms that get you moving.

​Fresh from standout performances at Amsterdam’s 750th anniversary celebrations and Bevrijdingsfestival, ACHHA brings its distinctive sound and dynamic stage presence to our intimate space in Amsterdam Oost.

​Whether you want to close your eyes and get lost in the music or find your rhythm on the dance floor, expect an evening that celebrates the beauty of musical traditions meeting contemporary sounds.

​Make an evening of it. Arrive early, grab a chai or a bite to eat, meet fellow music lovers and settle into the atmosphere.

​Before the live music begins, Sandhya will host a special face-painting session, included in the price of your ticket. Then, get ready for two live sets, with a break in between to grab a drink, catch up and connect.
