Did AI Break Recruitment?
Shaping our future with AI. Creating opportunity through AI fluency, connection and community.
No jargon. No hype. No confusing terminology.
Join us for our next in-person meetup in London on Tuesday 29th September.
The theme of this meetup is "Did AI Break Recruitment?" AI can rewrite your CV, apply for jobs, screen CVs and even interview candidates but are these tools really helping? As hiring managers and recruiters struggle to filter through the noise, job seekers (especially those with unconventional career paths) can find themselves filtered out without a human ever reviewing their unique experience.
In this meetup we take stock of where we are, what's working, what's not working and provide practical advice for hiring managers and job seekers alike.
Where and When?

Talk: AI broke recruitment — what’s next?
AI is making job applications faster, more polished and easier to automate — but also harder to trust. Candidates can generate tailored CVs in minutes; employers can screen at scale. The result can feel like an arms race of volume, keywords and automated filtering.
This session explores a more human alternative: AI that helps people understand, own and communicate their real experience with confidence.
Using Career Core as a live case study, the talk shows how a single, evidence-based career record can support accurate CVs, targeted applications, strengths reflection and better career decisions — without AI inventing someone’s story.
It also offers an honest look at building with AI “vibe coding” tools: what they make possible, where human judgement and architecture still matter, and why real testing changed the product in unexpected ways.
