Do We Need a Chief AI Officer?

AI tools commonly start in IT. Making them part of daily work requires decisions from HR, managers, and operating leaders. This Forum will examine whether one executive should be accountable across those groups—and whether that executive should be a Chief AI Officer (CAIO).
The discussion will focus on what a CAIO should be able to decide, where the role should report, and how it should work with the CHRO, COO, and IT. It will also explore how companies can assign clear accountability without creating the position.
The session will examine what already belongs to the CHRO when AI changes management expectations, job design, and workforce policy.
This is a working session for CHROs, COOs, and HR leaders responsible for AI inside their own companies.
