AI Tinkerers LA — Tinkerers Holiday Party Edition (Still Demos!)
Spend an evening by the beach in Venice with AI builders, founders, and researchers: see short live demos through 7:30 PM, then stay for food, holiday cookies, a mocktail bar, live music, and a DJ. On November 20th, AI Tinkerers LA brings its builder community together for a holiday gathering centered on working generative-AI projects, candid lessons, and social connection.
What to Expect: Real Builds. Real Constraints. Holiday Cheer.
AI Tinkerers is selective by design. We filter the hype to protect builders, focusing only on signal.
Demos > Decks: Presentations are short (~5 minutes) and must focus on implementation details, architecture, workflow graphs, and context engineering setups. No product pitches or slideware handwaving. For this special holiday event, we’re looking for demos that highlight AI’s potential for philanthropy, caring for people, doing good, and celebrating.
Technical, Not Theoretical: Show us what broke, what trade-offs you made (e.g., MoE vs. dense models, inference speed vs. cost), and how you debugged your agentic workflows. Emphasize how your technical solution contributes to a positive social impact.
A High-Trust Room: We encourage early-stage hacks, messy experiments, and novel approaches. The value is in the candid technical lesson learned, not production readiness.

We are actively seeking builders to share their work. Priority will be given to demos showing working demos, and have some sort of take away insight that you learned along the way! We’re especially keen on demos with a social-impact, social-good, environmental, or helping-kids angle for our holiday party.
This is a technical show-and-tell for builders, by builders. We want to see your messy experiments, creative hacks, and technical discoveries in action. Your demo should answer: “How did you build this interesting thing?” not “Why should someone use this product?”

Logistics and Curation: A Holiday Gathering
Attendance is limited to 150 people. Every attendee is screened, and for this holiday edition, partners, spouses, friends, and pair programmers are welcome to join the celebration.
Date: Friday, November 20, 2026
Time: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM (Main presentations stop at 7:30 PM. The rest of the night is hangout and networking.)
Special Features: Cafe open, live music, a DJ presenting, a mocktail bar, a variety of food, and holiday cookies. We also extend a special call for artists and musicians who want to be involved in making this a truly festive event.
